🥥Coconut oil: the healthy alternative to 🌻 Sunflower oil

Sunflower oil is frequently thought of as a healthy option, however let’s take a closer look……

Sunflower oil (as well as Canola, Soybean, Corn and Safflower oil) is processed, so it’s not a natural healthy oil. Processed oils have a greater trans-fat content, and when you are talking about fats, trans is bad!

Good and Bad Fats…

Fats that are bad for you

Refined oils, such as sunflower oil can lead to serious health issues, you really need to avoid them!

Vegetable oils, such as Sunflower Oil can cause dangerous health concerns!

Not all fats are bad, many of them are crucial for good health. Bad fats are trans fats and vegetable fats – these are the ones you want to stay away from.

Bad fats (trans and vegetable) multiply our risk of excessive weight, cancer and coronary disease.

Bad, bad and also very bad.

(I think that we could probably add the ‘very’ to all three bads!)

Exactly why are these kind of fats so bad?

Because they are not organic. These kinds of fats are in fact vegetable oils which have been subject to a synthetic process that uses high pressured hydrogen and multiple compounds to transform them from oils into fats.

Vegetable oils are not good for the body. They can cause considerable harm to the organs, notably the lungs and reproductive system. Scary stuff!

One study even claims that vegetable oils release hazardous cancer-causing chemicals.

Some other studies have shown that a diet that is rich in vegetable oils may lead to toxicity of the liver, reduced autoimmune system and learning disabilities! All bad. Very very bad.

Time for some good news...

Heatlthy Fats

Coconut Oil is better for your health than Sunflower Oil!

Coconut Oil trumps Sunflower Oil! Coconut oil is the ideal healthy alternative to Sunflower oil

In contrast to popular belief, saturated fats and cholesterol are in truth good fats, and our bodies need them in order to function effectively.

What’s the solution? Avoid using vegetable oils, like soybean, canola, sunflower, corn and safflower and as an alternative go for natural oils, like coconut or krill.

Healthy oils may very well cost a bit more in the short term, but think of the big picture. Isn’t your long term health worth investing a few extra cash? Besides, treatment for all those scary health problems brought on by bad fats have a hefty price tag as well!
