Is 🌻Sunflower oil healthy? Discover the truth about "Healthy fats"

Sunflower oil is often thought of as a healthy option, but let’s have a closer look……

Sunflower oil (as well as Canola, Soybean, Corn and Safflower oil) is refined, so it’s not an organic and natural healthy oil. Refined oils include a higher trans-fat content, and when you are considering fats, trans is bad!

Not all fats are equal...

The Bad Fats

Refined oils, such as sunflower oil can lead to serious health issues, you really need to avoid them!

Vegetable oils, such as Sunflower Oil can cause harmful medical problems!

Not all fats are bad, some are extremely important for good health. Bad fats are trans fats and vegetable fats – these are typically the types you really need to avoid.

Bad fats (trans and vegetable) increase our risk of being obese, cancer and cardiovascular disease.

Bad, bad and also very bad.

(I would say that we could probably add the ‘very’ to all three bads!)

So why are these kind of fats so bad?

Because they are not natural. These fats are in fact vegetable oils which have gone through an artificial process that uses high pressured hydrogen and numerous chemical substances to modify them from oils into fats.

Vegetable oils are harmful for our bodies. They can cause serious damage to the organs, especially the lung tissue and reproductive system. Terrifying stuff!

One study even claims that vegetable oils release poisonous cancer-causing chemicals.

Additional research shows that a diet which is loaded with vegetable oils may result in toxicity of the liver, decreased auto-immune system and learning disabilities! All bad. Very very bad.

Now for some good news…

Fats that are good for you

Coconut Oil is better for your health than Sunflower Oil!

In contrast to popular belief, saturated fats and cholesterol are actually good fats, and our bodies need them to be able to function effectively.

What’s the answer? Stay away from using vegetable oils, like soybean, canola, sunflower, corn and safflower and as an alternative opt for natural oils, like coconut or krill.

Healthy oils may cost extra in the short term, but think about the big picture. Isn’t your own long term wellbeing worth spending a few extra bucks? Besides, treatment options for all those scary illnesses caused by bad fats have a substantial price tag as well!
